Fine art photography in the Novelgarden
In Novelgarden fine art photographs are created. They transport emotions in a personal and purposeful way. They can even tell stories. Because in times of change we are looking for inspiration. These works by Michael Wahrheit aka Yondic show lighting, shadows, shine, reflections and overlays. They also include long exposures, some with camera movement, light paintings and abstract motifs. All these photos were taken with Nikon DSLR cameras, with the rather extreme Nikkor 12-24mm wide-angle zoom, the classic Nikkor 28-70mm lens or alternatively the very small and handy Voigtländer 20mm, 3.5 wide-angle lens with manual focus. Especially in the morning and early evening, light conditions are often good for long exposures. Sometimes a neutral gray filter is used to create the aperture and shutter speed range for a perfect long exposure. Concrete subjects alternate with abstract subjects. The latter often work especially well as prints in large formats, e.g. 100x200cm or 180x120cm. The concrete motifs are usually better suited for a classic framing with passpartout behind glass. But everything is in the eye of the beholder.
